10.2 Associave Modularity mode

Dierent Livecore models can be linked together. When linked, both devices assume the capabilies of the

lesser unit. To link two dierent models together, iniate the link from the lesser unit.



This mode requires a Verge console. In this mode, all live video sources must be split and shared with the

Livecore units using a splier, matrix router, etc, and the Livecore Link cables are not used. The Device Sync

cables are used to share control and ming informaon between the units. Control of the units is managed

by the  console through the LAN network.

In cases where the blended screen involves more than one LiveCore™ unit device, it becomes desirable to

improve the synchronizaon or eects and transions between the mulple units, to ensure the consistency

of any moving images which cross the boundary between devices. The LiveCore™ unit oers a pair of Device

Link ports for this purpose.

To use the Device Link Sync feature in any mul-device setup, you will need one standard straight CAT5

ethernet cable. Start by connecng the Cat5 cable from the Device Link output RJ-45 jack of device 1 to the

Device link input RJ-45 jack of device 2.



1/ Up to 2 devices can be connected using Device Link.assembled in Addive Modulaty Linked mode. Up to

4 devices can be synced and controlled by the Verge in Associave Modularity mode.

2/ The Cat5 based Device Link does not pass any video picture informaon. This link can only be used to

synchronize is used to exchange the ming of eects and processing informaon betweenon a LiveCore™

unit devices used as part of the same mul-device screen blend (Hard Edge and So Edge). Video

informaon should be shared using a set of specic Analog Way Livecore Link cables.

3/ The  console is compable with mul-device conguraon.
